Nolia Mae Skaggs

Nolia Mae Skaggs, 90 of Streator passed away Friday afternoon (May 8th) at Heritage Health and Rehabilitation Center, Streator.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be son Gary Skaggs, son-in-law Gary Williams and grandsons Dan Williams and Jahred Skaggs.
Mae was born on May 25, 1924 in Nashville, TN to Jamie and Louise (Lane) Wells.  She married Burnis Skaggs on July 26, 1947, he passed away January 5, 2009.
Surviving are son Gary (Cathy) Skaggs , daughter Alice (Gary) Williams both of Streator, 3 grandchildren, Dan (Becki) Williams, Jahred Skaggs, Emmylou (Jason) Truckenbrod, 1 step-granddaughter Cary Faith Smith, several great and great grandchildren, brother Morris Wells of Tullahoma, TN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Ted and Burton Wells and a sister Gela Merritt.
Mae graduated from Westin High School in Nashville, TN in 1943 and was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church and was formerly employed at Streator High School in the Cafeteria for many years.
