Norma M. Ott

Norma M. Ott, 92 of Normal and formerly of Streator passed away on Wednesday evening (Sept. 7^th) in Normal.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 9-11AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Streator.  Services will be held on Saturday at 11AM at the church.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.   The Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Norma was born on June 27, 1924 in Streator to Herbert and Mildred (Ramme) Holz.

Norma married Wesley Ott on August 11, 1953.  He preceded her in death on May 2, 1988.

Surviving are daughters, Linda (Fiance’ Mark Schenk) Hickey of Normal and Carol (David) Burdge of North Fort Meyers, FL., sons, Russell (Lora) Talbot of Belmond, Iowa and Richard Talbot of Tinley Park,  grandchildren, Darrell (Rebecca) Kendall of Westfield, IN, Rebecca (Justin) Sherman of Colorado Springs, CO. and Frank (Tanya) Poruba of Largo, FL., 8 great grandchildren, sisters, Phyllis Lester of Hartselle, Alabama and Marjorie (Lyle) Shaw of Washington, IL. and brothers, Herbert (Helen) Holz and Harold Holz both of Streator. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Minnie Holz, her husband, and sister Leona Fargher.

Norma graduated from Long Point High School and is a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Pleasant Hour Bunco Club, Canasta Club, and Widow’s Club of the Church and Lindy Club.
