Opal M. Cinnamon

Opal M. Cinnamon, 99 of Streator passed away Monday morning (January 4^th) at Heritage Health, Streator.

A visitation will be held Wednesday (Jan. 6^th) from 9 – 11 AM at the Central Church of Christ, Streator.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at the church.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.  Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Opal was born on September 23, 1916 in Brenckenridge, OK to George and Bertha (Kohli) McKain.

She married Floyd B. Cinnamon on September 25, 1940.  He preceded her in death on May 10, 1995.

Surviving is son, Don (Cheryl) Cinnamon of Streator, daughter-in-law, Nancy Cinnamon of Streator, grandchildren, David Cinnamon, Deborah Cashion, Michael Cinnamon, Lisa Turner and Daniel Cinnamon, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

Opal is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary, grandson, Joseph Cinnamon, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Opal was a member of the Central Church of Christ and was a Sunday school teacher for many years and a member of the Win-A-Couple Class of the church.

Memorials may be made to Central Church of Christ or Heritage Health, Streator.
