Pamela K. Hays, 60 of Streator passed away Saturday (January 7, 2012) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 8-11AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Streator. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11AM at the church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pam was born on September 23, 1951 in Streator to Lester and Anna (Harms) Benstine. She married Michael T. Hays on June 12, 1971 he survives.
Also surviving is daughter Amy (Tom) Melvin of Streator, grandchildren Sarah and Isaac Melvin, parents Lester and Anna Benstine all of Streator, sisters Althea (Mel) Fechter of Minonk, Julie (Jack) Bopari of Champaign and brother Mark (Jennifer) Benstine of Oswego.
Pam is preceded in death by uncles Francis and Henry Harms.
She attended Woodland grade school and graduated from Woodland High School in 1969.
She was employed at Streator Home and Building Loan Association as a loan officer. Member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was involved with Relay for Life.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, LaSalle County.
