Pat was born in 1937 in Chicago to Albert and Evelyn (Bronas) McKenzie. She married George “Bill” Boehne, and had 47 loving years with him. He survives.
Also surviving are children, Kathy (and the late, Lennie Grutzius) Javorsky of Chicago, Shari Javorsky of Tallahassee, FL, Tricia (Scott) Travi of Naples, FL, Christine (Greg) Graf of Rock Island and Richard (Peaches) Boehne of Standard, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren (and 1 on the way), a sister Sharon (Harry) Proctor of Edwardsburg, MI., several nieces and nephews, her dear friend Mary Jo, and her beloved dog, Parker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, son-in-law, and two brothers.
Pat was formerly employed at St. Mary’s Hospital as a CNA, and later a security guard at the hospital, and at the Utica Terminal asphalt company until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, having visits from the grandkids, and great-grandkids, church friends, and life long friends. She loved doing word searches, spending her time beating anyone at her favorite game of marbles, and playing with her fur baby parker. One of her favorite memories was when she was able to watch her beloved Cubbies win the world series. She was a strong woman of faith, and loved the Lord with all of her heart. She spent many days praying for people, and sharing her faith with whomever she could. She was the world’s greatest listener, and gave the best hugs. Anyone that knew her loved her dearly. She will be missed by many.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Meals on Wheels Program in LaSalle.
