Paul Collins

Paul Collins, 48 of Laguna Negell, CA and formerly of Streator passed away peacefully on July 18^th in California.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday at 5:00 PM at Johnny Dollars, Streator.

Paul was born on April 30, 1970 to Danny Collins and Diana Robertson.

He is survived by daughters Helena Faith Vanzant and Sofia Vanzant, son Zach Collins, sisters Fawn Collins – Centko, Liana Carrion, Adonna Luna and Linda Robertson-Mitchey, brother Gary Robertson and several nieces and nephews.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother Diana Robertson, sister Debra Robertson, brother Shane Collins, grandmother Helen Robertson, uncles Dawayne and Danny Ray Robertson.

Paul was a non denomination Christian.

Paul was in his early twenties when him and some of his buddies jumped into a van and drove to California to pursue their dreams, everyone came back home except Paul.  It was his dream to live in California and he attained it.  Paul had a successful furniture business in California.  Paul enjoyed being a drummer, it was his passion.  He also enjoyed cruising around in his classic El Camino and visiting friends.  Paul also had a passion for electric bicycles and attended electric bicycle events since he owned one.  Paul absolutely loved going to the beach.

Paul was a fun caring man that loved to make you laugh.  He was definitely a character.
