Paulette M. (Lynch) Hershey, 55 of Rutland passed away Saturday (Oct. 7th) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A celebration of Life will be held Saturday (Oct. 21st) at the Rutland American Legion at 11 AM. Burial will be in the Rutland Cemetery. Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements,
Paulette was born on February 28, 1962 in Decatur to Samuel and Billie Jean (Shebesta) Lynch. She married Erik Hershey on June 16, 2007. He survives.
Also surviving are sons Thomas of Gridley and Timothy of Rutland, 6 grandchildren, sisters Sandi Conrad of Streator, Gale Baker of Rutland, Jody Ruff of Long Point, brothers Steven of Rutland, Audie of Clay, W VA, Howard of Long Point, Chuck of Flora, Jamie of Fairview, MS and Shawn of Tampa, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Sammy and a sister Karen Cairy.
Paulette’s whole life revolved around her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Paulette dedicated her life to caring for the elderly. Her compassion for her residents went way beyond just a duty. She loved decorating her yard and sitting on her porch listening to the rain. She had a personality like no one else and will be great missed by everyone who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family request the donations be sent in care of her sister Jody Ruff @ P.O. Box 34, Long Point to help the family with final expenses.
