Ramona Jean Long, 88 of Manville passed away Tuesday evening (October 25, 2022) at her home.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10am until l12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jean was born on August 16, 1934, in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Richard and Ethel (McNabb) Hogan. She married Olian Long on April 30, 1951. He survives.
Also surviving are daughter Karen (Robert) Ferrell of St. Joseph, MO, son Rick (Sherry) Long of Fulton, IL, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, sisters, Theda Hurn of Iowa, Sue Lynn of Iowa, Carol Bryant of Iowa and Linda Reinmann of Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Larry and a sister Virginia Lee Hogan.
Jean retired from Thatcher Glass Co. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross and a very active member in the N.I.B. A. (Northern Illinois Bluegrass Association). Jean attended the First Church of the Nazarene.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Red Cross or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
