Randall D. Smith

Randall D. Smith, 59, of Streator, passed away Wednesday afternoon (March 27, 2024) at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.  

A visitation will be held Monday from 4PM until 7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home in Streator.

Funeral services will be held at 7PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services.   

Burial will be in Allen Township Cemetery.  

Randy was born on January 2, 1965, in Streator, to Howard D. And Dorothy (Weers) Smith.  

He married Carol Grove on July 8, 2005.  She survives.   

Surviving is his wife, daughter, Alicia (Keith) Lehr, son, Ryan Zeedyk, grandchildren, Kamden Lehr and Tucker and Ada Zeedyk all of Grand Ridge, sister, Pam Sherman of Streator and nephews, Jeremy (Brooke) Sherman of Streator and Brian (Jessica) Sherman of Blackstone.  

He is preceded in death by his parents.  

Randy attended Otter Creek grade school and graduated from Streator High School in 1983.  He was formerly employed at Dow Chemical in industrial maintenance for 40 years.  

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Streator and also a member of the Streator Eagles Club.  

Memorials may be directed to The Grand Ridge Fire Department.
