Richard “Butch” Lee Klee Sr. 75 of Streator passed away Friday (December 10, 2021) at his home.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10am until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will be held at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Butch was born on July 12, 1946 in Streator to Henry and Julia (Jasus) Klee. He married Charlene Winterrowd on December 13, 1969. She survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Ponna (Brian Szymovicz) Klee of Streator, sister, Carol Crozier of Athens, IL, sisters-in-law, Joylene Dennis of Streator and Patricia Shaver of Ottawa, brother-in-law, James (Janet) Pierson of Streator and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Rick, sister Gerri Baty, brothers-in-law James Dennis and Paul Shaver, In-laws, Charles R. Winterrowd and Bernice Roach, nephew John Crozier and a niece Laurie Obenhin.
Butch attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School. He served in the US Marines. Butch retired from Plymouth Tube after 22 years. He was member of the Streatorland Historical Society, was a life member of the Sandy Ford Sportsman Club. Butch enjoyed fishing, photography, trains and metal detecting.
