Richard "Rick" E. Flahaut

Richard E. “Rick” Flahaut 64 of Streator passed away Sunday morning (Aug. 18th) at St. Mary’s Hospital.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10AM until noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Niebuhr officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
Serving as pallbearers will be sons Richard and Mark Flahaut, nephews, Rob and Shane Flahaut, friends Mark Leonard and Virgil Holzhauer.
Rick was born on October 14, 1948 in Streator to Robert and Margaret (Venturi) Flahaut. Rick married Margaret Nagle on July 12, 1969 and together they had a daughter Jenny (Mike) Donahue a grandson Drew Michael of Streator. Rick also has a lifelong partner Dorlena Wiseman and together they have sons, Richard and Mark Flahaut a grandsons, Braxton and Jaxon  Flahaut, and Dorlenas’ daughters Julie Tomblin and Jennifer Tomblin and their chidren Madison, Jacob, Victoria, Molique Butler and Miranda and brother Mike (Joyce) Flahaut of Rantoul, sister Jamie Logston of Oswego and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Roberta in infancy.
Rick graduated from Woodland High School in 1967 and served in the US Army in Germany during Vietnam. He was of the catholic faith and belongs to the Pontiac Sportsman Club and retired from Painter local union 465 and District Council 30.
Memorials may be made to the family of Rick Flahaut.
