Richard G. Ross, 72 of Streator passed away Tuesday (Feb. 14th) at St. Mary's Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 6-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 7PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in LaSalle at a later date.
Richard was born May 24, 1939 in Oglesby to Albert and Louise (Stein) Ross.
Surviving is son Alan (Barbara) Ross of Cary, and daughters, Victoria Sims and Kimberly (Richard) Tutoky both of Streator,7 grandchildren, brother, Dennis Wells of Detroit, MI, and sister, Phyllis Wells of TN.
He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1957 and was of the Catholic Faith.
Richard served in the U.S. Air force and was the former owner of Ross Electric in Ottawa. He was a lifetime member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and also an election judge in LaSalle County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the USO (United Service Organization) of Illinois 333 S. Wabash Ave. 16th Floor, Chicago, IL 60604. www.uso.org, or to the charity of your choice.
