Richard L. Russow

Richard L. Russow, 78 of Streator passed away Saturday morning (February 25^th) at St. James Hospital, Pontiac.

Following cremation a visitation will be held Friday from 9 – 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.

Services will be held Friday at 12 noon at the funeral home with military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW .

Richard was born on November 2, 1938 in Streator to Elmer C. and Nina N. (Ingram) Russow.  He married Geraldine Jobba on May 14, 1958.  She preceded him in death on April 13, 2016.

Surviving is a daughter Teonae Gore of Streator, sons Richard Russow of Iowa and Toby (Kathy) Russow of Streator, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter-in-law Jeannine Russow and a brother Elmer Lee Russow.

Richard graduated from Woodland High School in 1956 and served in the US Army from 1960 until 1963.  He retired from Owens Illinois Glass in 1994 and was a former member of the Streator American Legion.
