Richard D Wilson

Richard D. Wilson, 91 of Streator passed away Tuesday (January 12th) at the Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A visitation will be held Friday from 9 – 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 11AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Richard was born on August 22, 1924 in Rutledge, MO to Loren and Hallie (Payne) Wilson.  He married Patricia Fairall on October 7, 1957.  She preceded him in death on January 15, 1994.  He later married Barbara (Letanoski) McGeorge on January 20, 2008.  She survives.

Also surviving are children Dorothy Hutchcraft of Ottawa, Don (Juanita) Wilson of Streator, Deanna (Timothy) McGeorge of Seneca, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sister, Beverly Harcharik of Streator, brothers, Robert (Marie) Wilson of California, Jack ((Karola) Wilson of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, 1^st wife, Dorothy (Swatsell) Wilson, 2^nd wife, Patricia (Fairall) Wilson,  a son Raymond Eugene Wilson in infancy, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

He served in the US Marines during WWII, retired from the SantaFe Railroad (BNSF) and was affiliated with the Seneca Assembly of God Church.  He was a former board member of Streator Unlimited.
