Robert R. Anderson

Robert R. Anderson, 72 of Streator passed away Tuesday (March 9, 2021) at his home.

Bob was born on October 10, 1948 in Ottawa to Robert and Louise (Triplett) Anderson. 

He was employed at R.R. Donnelly, Dwight for 40 years and later Ace Hardware.

Bob loved spending time in his garage making beautiful, reclaimed wood furniture for his family.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou (Neighbor) and four children; Brett (Rachel) Anderson of Chicago, Lindsay (Drew) Stout of Sandy Utah, Leslie (Kevin) Kuntz of Ottawa, Bobby (Leah) Anderson of Streator.  He was a very proud grandfather to Madison and Carson Stout; Kevin and baby on the way Kuntz; Milah Anderson and Quinn Anderson.  He is also survived by sister, Suzanne (Mark) Wellman of Streator, half brother Robert “Mickey” Gaughan, sister-in-law Sharon Walkey of Streator, several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Richard Carpenter, in laws, Leonard and Gerry Neighbor, sister Judy Martin, brother-in-law Ron Martin and a brother Roger.

He was a kind and gentle man who will be deeply missed.

Private family services will be held at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
