Robert "Bob" W. Bethard

Robert “Bob†W. Bethard, 84 of Peru, IL passed away Sunday Morning (Jan. 26th) at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10-12 Noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon at the funeral home.
Cremation rites will follow services.
Bob was born on October 29, 1929 in Raymond, IL to James Wesley and Nettie (Freeman) Bethard.
He married Roberta Briner on January 7, 1950. She survives.
Surviving is his wife, Roberta Bethard of Peru, sons, R. Wayne (Thelma) Bethard of Crosby, TX, and Ronald Bethard of Pekin, IL, daughters, Connie (Don) Viland of Marshall, MI, Roberta Gail Sliker of Streator, and Rebecca Stout of Peru, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brothers, Gail Bethard of Streator and Eldon Bethard of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers.
Bob was a member of the Ervin Avenue Baptist Church in Streator and worked at the John Deere Implement and Tombaugh Equipment in Streator. He retired from Owens Illinois Glass in 1982.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of Robert Bethard.
