Robert E. Himan

Robert “Bob†E. Himan, Sr., 77 of Streator passed away Friday morning (April 19th, 2013) at Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Robert was born on September 2, 1935 in Goshen, IN to Aldean and Lorena (Tuffs) Himan.
He married Carolyn Shinkey on December 23, 1955. She survives.
Also surviving are sons, Robert (Melody) Himan Jr. of Dekalb and Ronald (Brenda) Himan, of Streator, and daughter, Sherri Fletcher of Streator, grandsons, Derek and Kyle Himan both of Aurora, Brandon (Katie) Himan of Streator, and Aaron Himan of Fort Bliss, TX, granddaughters, Amanda (Jim) Tessman of MO, Alyssa and Josie Fletcher both of Streator, 2 great-granddaughters, Kelsie Tessman and Valerie Himan, and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, son, David Himan, brother, John Himan, and sisters, Nellie May Davis and Edith Aileen Turner.
He retired from Caterpillar in Joliet and was a former member of Eagles 645. Robert bowled for many years, was an avid camper, and belonged to the Caterpillar Camping Club.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Streator.
Memorials may be directed to the family of Robert Himan.
