Robert L Teegardin

Robert “Bob” L. Teegardin, 79 of Streator passed away Saturday morning (March 5^th) at the Richard Owen Hospice in Peoria.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church with cremation rites following services.  Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Adam and Aaron Vance, Jesse Sell, Joshua Mardino, and Jacob Teegardin, nephews, Todd Bresney and Jon Stevens.  Honorary will be granddaughters, Abby Sell, Amanda Teegardin, Callie Mardino and Brandi Vance, Danielle, Taylor and Cydney Hayes and Brittany Gould.

Bob was born on January 1, 1937 in Streator to Lester and Mary (Walther) Teegardin.  He married Rosalie Bresney on August 22, 1959.  She survives.

Also surviving are children Regina (Thomas) Vance of Streator, Robert (Laurie) Teegardin Jr of Princeton, Kimberly Teegardin of Streator and Mark (Stacia) Teegardin of E. Peoria, grandchildren, Adam (Brandi) Vance, Abby (Jesse) Sell, Aaron Vance, Amanda Teegardin, Callie (Josh) Mardino and Jacob Teegardin,  sisters Myrna Alberts of Streator and Barbara (John) Stevens of Streator, several nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Bob Alberts.

Bob attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School and graduated in 1955.  He retired from Owens Illinois Glass in 1994 and was a member of the Streator Knights of Columbus and Streator Eagles Club.

Memorials may be made in his name to American Diabetes or Lupus Foundation or a charity of the donors’ choice.
