Rody J. Hays

Rody J. Hays, 61 of Long Point passed away Wednesday evening (March 29, 2023) at his home.

Cremation rites will be accorded. 

There will be no services. 

The Winterrowd Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Rod was born on October 14, 1961, in Streator, IL to Arthur and Donna (Zimmerman) Hays.

He married Patricia Barickman on January 16, 1982.  She survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Alicia (John Warwick) Hays of Streator, Clarissa (Tyler Martin) Hays of Streator and son, Rylan (Elish McCann) Hays of Streator and sister, Susan (Robert) Kmetz of Streator.

Rod is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gregory Hays.

He attended Wilson and Woodland grade schools and graduated from Woodland High School in 1980. 

Rod was the owner of Streator Machine and Hays Saw Mill. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pet Project in his name.
