Ruby M. Michael

Ruby M. Michael 61, of Colfax, IL passed away Saturday morning (November 19th) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11AM-11:30AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.

Ruby was born on September 26, 1955 in Streator, IL to Fredrick Charles and Edna Rose (Chisholm) Freeman.

She married Terry Michael on May 2, 1986.  He passed away July 29, 2007. 

Surviving are children, Stacy Hockenberry of NE, Michael (Ashley) Hockenberry, Karli Michael, Jakob Michael and Garry Michael all of Colfax, IL, 3 grandchildren, Austin and Justin Hockenberry of Colfax, IL and Kamaea Michael of NE, sisters, Sandy (Jose) Arroyo of FL and Kathy (Richard) Hillier of IN, and brothers, Craig (Rhonda) Freeman, Tom (Ann) Freeman and Tim and Phillip Freeman all of MO and Mike (MaryJo) Freeman of IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 grandchild, 6 brothers, Fred, Jr., Richard, Gary, Joseph and David Freeman and Matthew Wilson and 3 sisters, Marge Dowell, Mary Martha and Eleanor Garcia. 

Ruby attended Streator grade and high school.  She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Streator.
