Shane A. Lanning, 35 of Advance, Missouri and formerly of Streator passed away Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 12th) at Missouri Southern Healthcare after a 6 month battle with lung cancer.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9-11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor Fred Doughty of Glad Tidings Assembly of God of East Peoria officiating.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be children, Alexis, Abigail, Halie, and Elizabeth Lanning, Cassidy Houston, and Tommy Lee. Pallbearers will be Daniel Lanning, Sr., Daniel Lanning, Jr., Zachary Burmeister, Kody Clark, Billy Weiss, and Bobby Gray, Sr.
Shane was born on October 3, 1976 in Streator to Daniel and Joyce (Pickering) Lanning.
Surviving are children, Alexis, Abigail, and Halie Lanning of Streator, Kody Clark and Elizabeth Lanning both of Missouri, Cassidy Houston of Indiana, Tommy Lee of Ottawa, step-son, Zachary Burmeister of Missouri, Long-time companion, Amy Clark of Missouri, father, Daniel (Joyce) Lanning of Streator, Mother, Joyce (Brian) Davis of Streator, sister, Tiffany (Derrick) Summers of LaSalle, brother, Daniel (Devon) Lanning Jr. of East Peoria, Paternal grandfather, Donald Lanning of McNabb, and maternal grandmother, Eloise Pickering of Streator.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Lanning, maternal grandfather, Earl Pickering, and aunt, Betty Musolff.
Shane attended Streator Grade schools and Ottawa High school.
