Shane M Negray

Shane M. Negray, 44 of Streator passed away Saturday morning (May 14^th) at the Richard Owen Hospice Home, Peoria.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 9 – 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church with Fr. Jacob Rose officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be brothers, Eric and Brett Negray, nephew, Jake Negray, uncle, Guy Robertson, cousins, Joe Triplett, Todd Olesen, friends, Ralph Lindsey and Bernie Minkler.

Shane was born on April 30, 1972 in Streator to John R. and June (Robertson) Negray.

Surviving are children Ashley Nicole Negray, Justeen Taylor Negray, Natalie Taye Negray and Chase Anthony Negray all of Streator, 2 grandchildren Kali Anne and Kloe Melissa Fialko, Parents, John and June Negray, brothers Eric (Ramel) Negray and Brett Negray, maternal grandmother Shirley Robertson and special friend Joelle Beavers all of Streator.

Shane is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John and Betty Negray, and maternal grandfather Lester Robertson.

Shane attended Grand Ridge Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1990.  He was employed as a union brick layer with Streator Masonry as part of a 4 generations of masons and a member of the Local 6 in Rockford.  Shane was an avid Cubs Fan.

Memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research.
