Shirley Ann McClellan

Shirley Ann McClellan, 88 of Streator passed away Friday (January 31, 2025) at her home.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 10 – 11:30a.m. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:30a.m. at the funeral home with burial following in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Shirley was born on June 1, 1936, in Streator to William C. and Anna E. (Yurch) Hefler. She married Jason McClellan on July 20, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1989.

Surviving is son Tracy (Debbie) McClellan of Streator, grandchildren Troy (Shelly) McClellan and Carrie (Jeremy) Shepard, 4 great grandchildren, brother Jim (Delores) Hefler, sisters, Doris Tanner and Joy Brewer all of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jason, son Bruce, daughter Michelle Majernik and brothers Bob and Bill Hefler.

Shirley attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and currently St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church where she sang in the church choir. Shirley was a seamstress for many years and a seamstress at Esther Kirks.

Shirley enjoyed playing music and the keyboard.

Memorials may be made in her name to St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church.
