Susan R. Vissering, 50 of Streator passed away Sunday evening (Feb. 16th) at her home after a long battle with diabetes.
A private memorial service will be held Thursday at 2PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with cremation rites following and burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later date.
Susan was born on August 29, 1963 in Streator to Ronald and Marcia (Penfold) Senate. She married Paul Vissering and they later divorced.
Surviving are daughter, Holly (Ross) Deardorff of Grand Junction, CO, father, Ronald (Nancy) Senate, mother, Marcia Senate, sister, Amy Senate and Paternal Grandmother, Nina Sue Senate all of Streator.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Lee Senate and maternal grandparents, Percy and Elizabeth Penfold.
Susan attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1981 and worked many years in the food business in Streator until her illness.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
