Theodore "Ted" C. Davis, 87 of Streator passed away Thursday evening (June 23rd) at his home.
A visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with a time of remembrances shared at 3PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 4PM at the funeral home with military honors conducted by members of the Streator VFW & American Legion.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later date.
Ted was born November 28, 1923 in Blackstone, IL to Clyde and Ethel (Stogdill) Davis.
He married Lois Miller on September 28, 1946. She passed away January 15, 1995.
Surviving are daughters, Nancy Salvner of Streator, Sandra Davis of Streator, Linda (David) Brickert of Pardeeville, WI, Kathy (Scott) Fulkerson of Streator, and Janet Davis of Streator, 11 grandchildren, Michael and Melissa Salvner, Nichole Lieske, Emily Erickson, Becky Brickert, Heidi Ryan, Mark, Michelle, Steven, and Sarah Fulkerson, and Meghan Davis and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Milford Davis.
Ted graduated from Long Point High School in 1941. He was a member of the Blackstone United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Red Fox Grocery Store in Streator, was a member of the Streator National Guard, VFW, American Legion, Am Vet Post 120, and was on the Blackstone Cemetery board and also drove a church bus at the First Baptist Church.
