Thomas J. Corcoran

Thomas James Corcoran, 77 of Streator passed away Friday January 24, 2025.

Thomas was born on October 25, 1947, in Evanston, IL, to Walter and Marion (Burns) Corcoran.

 He was a devoted father to his four children: Anthony Sean Corcoran of Plainfield, Michael Salvatore Corcoran of Woodstock, Tiffany Marie (Dakota) Sterling of Streator and Dennis Patrick Corcoran of Rockwood, TN. and was affectionately known as "Grandpa Tom" to his 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. A man of simple pleasures, Thomas enjoyed watching war-related movies while sitting in his rocking chair, drink in hand. He cherished spending time with his family, his favorite place in the world. He had a deep love for music, with favorite bands including AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, and Dire Straits. A lifelong football fan, he proudly supported the Chicago Bears. Throughout his life, Thomas worked as a limo driver, a job that allowed him to connect with various people and share his vibrant personality. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp, known for his kindness and big heart, he was also stubborn, opinionated, and unafraid to speak his mind. Thomas is survived by his only sibling, Jim, and a large extended family who will remember him for his love, strength, and unwavering spirit. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Following cremation, a visitation will be held Saturday (Feb. 8th) from 1- 4 p.m. with a Time of Remembrance at 4 at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
