Thressia L. Janke

Thressia L. Janke, 58 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (July 19^th) at her home.

A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 - 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services and burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park at a later date.

Thressia was born on August 3, 1959 in Streator to Donald and Mary Lou (Larson) McDermaid.  She married Edward R. Janke on April 10, 1981.  He preceded her in death on November 29, 2007.

Surviving are daughters Jennifer (David) Szewczyk of Streator, Elizabeth (Dave Majors) Rhodes of Hollister, MO, Christina Janke of Streator and Tammy (Josh) Davis of Streator and a son Edward (Lauren Mussari) Janke Jr. of Dana, 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, sisters Henrietta Carnduff of Ottawa and Barbara Martin of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

Thressia is preceded in death by her parents, her best friend and love of her life (husband), brother Ole McDermaid and a sister Donalda Mauk.

She attended Streator High School and was formerly employed at the Dollar Tree in Pontiac.  Thressia's life was centered around her family.  She was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother.  Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her precious grandchildren.
