Ursula J. Wheaton

Ursula Jean Wheaton, 71 of Streator passed away Monday evening (October 3^rd) at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.

A visitation will be held Friday from 4 – 8 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Services will be held at 8 PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services.

Jean was born on December 10, 1944 in Ottawa to Earl and Agnes (Fleming) Vernoy.  She married Dale Wheaton on September 11, 1965.  He survives.

Also surviving are daughters Agnes Vernoy of Ottawa, Eugenea (David) Harmon and Samantha Wheaton both of Streator, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother Earl (Bonnie) Vernoy of Ottawa.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Thelma Vernoy, Babs Thomas, Mary Vernoy, Carol Severson and Melody Salisbury and a brother Ruben Shirley.

Jean attended St. Columba Grade School and Marquette High School.  She was formerly employed at the LaSalle County Nursing Home as a Certified Nurses Aid.  Jean loved crocheting, crafting and spending time with her grandchildren.
