Velma B. Pulliam, 92 of Streator passed away Monday (Jun. 4th) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9 - 11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny and Terry Murphy Jr., Jamey and Devin Dignan, John Davis Jr.
Velma was born on February 22, 1920 in Cornell, IL to George V. and Louise (Mahnke) Allen.
She married Chester Pulliam on January 21, 1935 he passed away on November 20, 1997.
Surviving is a daughter Frances Dignan of Streator, 3 grandchildren, Cheryl (Terry) Murphy of Manville, Susie Quaka and Jamey Dignan of Streator, 5 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Velma is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Virginia Robertson and Viola Harlacher, and brother Ray Allen.
She was a bookkeeper for Broadus Oil Co for many years and was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
