Violet M. Redman, 91 of Grand Ridge passed away Friday morning (Apr. 12, 2013) at the Ottawa Pavilion.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9-11AM at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Grand Ridge Cemetery.
Violet was born on August 16, 1921 in London, England to Thomas and Alice Norton.
She married Kenneth Redman on July 24, 1943 in St. Margaretâs Church in Barking, Essex England. He passed away on August 16, 1993.
Surviving are sons, Kenneth (Lois) Redman, Barry Redman, Randall (Lori) Redman, daughter, Vicki Redman, two grandsons, two great-grandchildren, half brother, half sister, and many nieces and nephews in U.S., England, and Spain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and two sisters.
Violet graduated from St. Erkenwald High School in Dagenham, England.
During WWII she worked sewing various uniforms in High Wycombe where she met her husband Ken.
Violet was a homemaker, loving wife for 50 years, doting mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to knit, sew, cook, and garden. She especially loved her many roses.
Memorials may be directed to the Grand Ridge Fire Department, Grand Ridge United Methodist Church or to the Donorâs Choice.
