Virginia L. Krafft, 88 of Streator passed away Sunday morning (August 4th, 2013) at Heritage Manor in Dwight.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8 PM at thw Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at the funeral home
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Strong, Terry Strong, Richard Sipe, Larry Limberg, Steve Weekly, and Kevin Cassady.
Virginia was born on March 24, 1925 in Gastonia, NC to Marshal and Nissie (Hargett) Helton
She married Elmer Krafft on May 10, 1946. He passed away February 27, 1978.
Surviving are daughters Wanda Sipe of Dwight and Linda (Ron) Piszczor of Streator, granddaughter, Amanda Strong, and 2 great-grandchildren, Alex and Jillian Strong.
She was preceded in death by her sisters,Kathleen Eastwood, Holland Garrison, Lucy Robinson, and half-sister, David Boone, and brothers, Morris “Budâ€, Don, and Lamar Helton.
Virginia ran her own Daycare in her home and was formerly employed as a waitress at Holly’s Gatehouse in Streator. She was a homemaker.
She attended Grade School in Gastonia, NC and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Streator.
Memorials may be directed to The American Heart Association.
