Wanda I Neu

Wanda I. Neu, 97 of Streator passed away Friday evening at Heritage Health and Senior Care, Streator.

A private family service will be held Tuesday at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Defenbaugh Cemetery, Ancona.

Wanda was born on August 9, 1919 in Streator to Noah and Edith (Hicks) Defenbaugh.  She married George Neu on November 23, 1948.  He preceded her in death on December 12, 1977.

Surviving is a daughter Beverly Keesee of Streator, 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, sons William and Donald Ryan, daughter Mary Ann Ryan, brothers, Loran, Donald, Arlie and Franklin Defenbaugh and sisters Lola Matsko and Alicia Powell.

Wanda retired from Thatcher Glass in 1982 and was a member of the Streator Eagles Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary and was of the Catholic Faith.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
