Warren "Skip" W. Leonard

Warren “Skip” W. Leonard, 76 of Streator passed away Sunday (January 29, 2023) at his home.

Following cremation, a memorial visitation will be held Saturday (February 11, 2023) from 10-12 Noon at Winterrowd Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 12Noon at the funeral home.

Burial will in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Skip was born on August 15, 1946, in Streator to Howard and Ethel (Kreier) Leonard.  He married Mary Lou Ondek on December 28, 1984. 

Surviving are children, Melissa (Tim) Stocks, Jim (Mindy) Leonard, Malissa Leonard and Nicole (Mike) Murphy, 8 grandchildren, Alexis (Justin) Weaver, Vince Stocks, Sierra Granados, McKenna Murphy, Madison Hutchinson, Maegann Hornick, Allison Stevens and Jaxon Leonard, 2 great grandchildren, Luna and Laney Weaver, sisters, Mickey (Joe) Shields and Denise (Dale) Sernero, brothers, Gale (Liza) Leonard and Ray Leonard and several nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Stepfather Al Niblock, Stepmother Rose Leonard, brother, Charles “Butch” Leonard and sister, Durelle and Doris.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Skip attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1965.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion.

He worked at Flinks Manufacturing and Thatcher’s Glass in Streator.

Memorials may be directed to the any Veterans organization or the Fox River Cancer Center in Ottawa.
