Wayne W. Freise, 77 of Streator passed away Thursday (February 21, 2013) at Meadows Menonite Home, Chenoa.
A visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 - 7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Tombaugh, Rick Schafer, Larry Tombaugh, Gary Nelson, Salvo Parenti, Ryan Parenti, Travis Freise and honorary pallbearers will be; Don Jordan and Glen Garretson.
Wayne was born on October 12th, 1935 to William and Celia (Shawback) Freise. He married Marlene (Krocker) on Jan 27th, 1956 at Grace United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, two daughters Janet (Lino) Parenti of St Louis MO, Joann Freise of Florida and son Dean (Sharon) Freise of Wenona. Grandchildren Salvo (Candace) Parenti, Ryan Parenti, Travis, Marlana, and Ciera Freise. Brother, G.W (Dutch) Freise of Dallas Texas, sisters Faye Tombaugh of Streator and Duanne Nelson of Ottawa.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Dale W Freise and brother Merle Freise. He graduated from Streator Township High School in 1952. He was a lifelong Grain and Dairy farmer in Rural Streator. Wayne was a member of former Grace EUB Church and member of First United Methodist Church. He was a Mason for 54 years and a Shriners member.
Memorials may be directed to either Lostant or Leonore fire departments.
