In 1973, he was elected to the Executive Board as International Vice President in Saint Louis.
In 1981, the Brick and Clay Workers merged with the Aluminum workers, then merged with again in 1982 with the Glass workers, forming the International Aluminum, Brick and Glass Workers Union.
In 1989, Mr. Murray was appointed as Regional Director for the Midwest and moved to Indianapolis, IN. to serve in that position.
The ABG International joined United Steel Workers in 1995 where he served as an international Representative, until retirement in 1997. He and his wife returned to Streator to make their home here.
When not working, Wayne devoted his time to his family. He was a wonderful son and brother, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished the time he spent with all his loved ones.
We'll always love and miss him.
