William "Billy" E. Mitchell

William “Billy” E. Mitchell, 72 of Streator passed away Wednesday morning (November 14^th) at the Continental Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Chicago.

Following cremation there will be no services.  The Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Billy was born on June 19, 1946 in Streator to William and Edith (Warwick) Mitchell.

Surviving is his mother, Edith Baker of Streator, brothers, Glenn (Sandra) Baker of Streator and Clyde (Susan) Baker of Streator, sisters, Barbara (David) Sloan, Pamela Baker, Margery (Thomas) Wissen, Janet (Roberto) Arevalo and Penelope Baker all of Streator, 9 nieces and nephews and 27 great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his step father Walter Baker, sister Marilyn Baker and brother Richard Baker.

Billy graduated from Streator High School in 1964. He served in the US Army during Vietnam, was formerly employed at Caterpillar in Mossville and was of the Baptist faith.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Fisher House through the Veterans Administration.
