William "Billy" T. Boyd, 33 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (Aug. 2nd) at his home.
A visitation will be held Sunday from 3 - 6PM at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home. Services will be held Sunday at 6PM at the funeral home. A private family burial will be in St. Andrew's in the Fields Cemetery in Farm Ridge Twp.
Billy was born on February 26, 1979 in Streator to William W. and Susan M. (Hammen) Boyd. He married Janae Dobson on November 25, 2005. She survives.
Also surviving is his father, Bill (Bridget) Boyd of Grand Ridge, mother, Susan Hammen of Glasford, IL, brother, Nickolas Boyd of Peoria, step-brother, Kyle Kubiak of Blairstown, Iowa, step-sister, Jessica Kubiak of Chicago, Paternal grandmother, Mrs William H. Boyd of Grand Ridge, Maternal grandmother, Barbara Hammen of Streator and nephew, Dane Boyd of Glasford.
Billy is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather William H. Boyd and maternal grandfather, Thomas Hammen.
He farmed with his family in the Streator and Grand Ridge area and was a member of the Ottawa First Church of the Nazarene and Sandyford sportsman club. He was a graduate of Grand Ridge Grade school and graduated from Ottawa High School in 1997.
Billy loved hunting, fishing, gardening and the outdoors. He was a loving husband, son, brother and grandson.
Memorials may be directed to Grand Ridge Fire Dept. or Peoria Rescue Ministries.
