William H. "Bill" Leonard, 69 of Streator passed away Tuesday evening (Dec. 10th) in Streator.
A visitation will be held Sunday from 2 - 6PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Nephews, Andy Paull, Brian and Jim Putman Jr., brother-in-law Jeff Davis, friends Mel Mertel and Bob Kolojay and serving as honorary will be great-nephew and niece Andrew Paull II and Emilee Paull.
Bill was born on November 22, 1944 in Streator to Arthur and Elizabeth (Schumacher) Leonard. He married Sharon Davis on August 9, 1981, she survives.
Also surviving is daughter; Billie Jo Leonard of Streator, sister; Sharon Paull of Joliet, nephew; Andy (Dawn) Paull of Joliet; great-niece and nephew, Emilee and Andrew Paull II.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents
He attended Craft Grade School in rural Kangley and graduated from Woodland High School in 1962. Bill served in the US Army during Vietnam and was formerly employed at Skelgas in Streator and currently employed at Crop Production Services in Dwight.
Bill was a member of the Streator Moose Lodge serving as Past Governor and Streator American Legion, and member of the former Hope United Methodist Church and currently with the Long Point United Methodist Church.
He was a avid Nascar fan.
