Wilma Lee Lewis

Wilma L. Lewis, 80 of Ancona passed away Friday morning (June 14, 2024) at the ARC, Streator.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in the Long Point Cemetery.

Wilma was born on October 29, 1943, in Oakland, IL to Connie and Katherine (Wheeler) Pottinger. She married Jerry Lewis on September 2, 1976. He survives.

Also surviving are, William (Lisa) Hinshaw of Flanagan, Jaclyn (Kevin) Crosswell, Wesly Chaple, Fl and Jason (Stacey) Lewis of Bethalto, IL, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, sister Nancy (Gary) Hillyer of Long Point and brother Mike (Connie) Pottinger of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Juanita Cook, Janet Philippi and Betty Wulzen, brothers Arnie, William (Smitty), Earl and Elliott in infancy.

Wilma attended Woodland School and received her GED from Cornell High School. She retired from Thatcher Glass and Oak State Products.
